Showcasing for the first time some of the highlights of the Library’s extensive collections, Library of Cultures explores different countries and cultures with photographs, artefacts and documents revealing lives and cultures in Birmingham and around the world.

An expert guided tour of some of the Library of Birmingham’s greatest treasures.

Schools Events

Teachers’ Preview Evening
10 and 24 February, 5pm–6pm FREE (booking essential)

One of our expert Collections Curators will explain the exhibition displays and you can discuss learning opportunities with members of the Engagement Team. Refreshments provided. See website for further information.

Workshops for Schools
4, 11 and 25 February, 4, 11, 18 and 25 March, 1 and 8 April

10am–12noon. Advance booking essential – limited availability; first come, first served
Free interactive workshops for school groups to explore the exhibition and discover more about how the library’s collections tell the story of Birmingham and its connection to the world. The workshop can be adapted for groups from Key Stage 1 through to 16+ and for groups with Special Needs.
